Actually I don’t mind the small case letters for those domains. The caps kind of take away from the ease of reading them.

What is unnecessary is adding the www. at the front of each domain.

I agree that you don’t need the www before the domain name; I am just putting up what I see on tv/print….
While all caps makes it annoying to read, initial caps actually makes it more memorable….

Caps should always be used. In print ads we’ve always used PalmSprings.com – never palmsprings.com.

I agree 150% David….I am humble and proud to see you reading my blog (GRIN) – big fan of your contribution to the domaining industry….we met briefly back in Jan at DomainFest….hope to see you again soon.

It’s called Camel Casing, folks and it’s good for domains that consist of two words or more.

I disagree. A flat URL doesn’t take away from marketing. It should appear exactly as it should be entered.

The entire goal of displaying URL is to prompt the viewer to stop what he’s doing and go to the web site. Non-savvy users often think they have to enter things exactly as shown, which simply clutters the process of getting to the company’s site quickly.

I can just see my father now, wishing he’d written the URL down, as he struggles, trying to remember which characters are to be capitalized.

thanks Pamela…..there have actually been studies done in psychology that proves the initial caps (or camel caps) are actually more memorable….

And as you know, it doesn’t matter how you enter/type the URL – it will bring you to the same destination….

And if the URL is flat and the reader can’t make it out; chances are they will not remember it all….
    Happy Holidays….
