Posted on December 31st, 2009 by AndrewHazen  |  No Comments »

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope all your goals and aspirations become reality in 2010.

I personally am looking forward to an extraordinary 2010 at Prime Visibility - we are ready to scale and the inquiries just keep coming!  Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is vital to achieving natural search engine rankings and the demand is only increasing.  Our paid search management case studies speak volumes; with Client’s experiencing a 1,100% ROAS (return on ad spend) the technology we are using is dead-on!  And social media is still hot, hot, hot! From viral videosto Facebook and Twitter strategies – we have increased visibility for clients by more than 4,000% with some of our social media strategies.

So as you can tell, I am quite excited about our team in 2010 – we are pushing 40+ team members at our Internet Marketing Agency and I am very pleased that domainers are really getting into developing domains and not just parking them.

Happy New Year everyone – all the best to you and your loved ones!!

How Press Releases Can Be Great for Search

Posted on December 31st, 2009 by AndrewHazen  |  No Comments »

Was reading a very good piece this morning on how press releases can be great for search engine rankings and search traffic…this isn’t “new” news; however it is often overlooked!

Back in the summer, PRWeb shared a case study, involving a firm that typically sees a boost in search engine rankings and a 50% spike in web traffic after they issue a release. In fact, for one release in particular, the firm saw a spike of 400% on two different Web sites, and the firm doesn’t believe they were from the same users. They also incorporate social media tools like Twitter to extend the “shelf life” of press releases, and say that drives additional traffic.

In a study from Arketi Group, also back in the summer, journalists were found to use the web in the following ways:

- 95% search
- 92% reading news
- 92% emailing
- 89% finding story ideas
- 87% finding news sources
- 75% reading blogs
- 64% watching webinars
- 61% watching YouTube
- 59% social networks

So – if you haven’t been using press releases the way you should; make it a point to start the New Year right and optimize your press releases accordinly so you can help your business grow, grow, grow!

10 Signs You Don’t Understand Web Analytics

Posted on December 28th, 2009 by AndrewHazen  |  No Comments »

I have always been a big proponent of web analytics….not reviewing and analyzing your web analytics is like taking your car on the interstate at 70 mph with a blanket covering your windshield – you don’t know where you’re going!

The information and data mined through analytics and tracking can maximize any marketing budget by driving conversions and results.  You MUST look beyond ‘hits’ and pageviews!  Depending on your business model, different data points are important to different people.  Where is your traffic coming from?  Which traffic converts the best? The worst? Why?  What regions of the world/country/state drive the best qualified traffic? And so on and so on….

Today’s iMediaConnection has a good article on 10 Signs You Don’t Understand Web Analytics - I highly recommend you read and review the 10 signs…how many apply to you?  Hopefully not too many!! – Own The Category!

There are 54,000,000+ results in Google for a search on 3G Phones and well over 1,000,000 people per month searching for 3g phones…. is the perfect premium domain – own it today and start the new year right by owning the 3G phone category!
I threw up a real simple straight forward site a few weeks ago (nothing great) and traffic is steadily increasing….type-in traffic is 52% and some search rankings are starting like #6 in Bing for 3g phones…with the right owner, SEO, link program and promotion this is an unbelievable domain name for a startup or Verizon, AT&T or Sprint…can you hear me now??

Over the weekend, I read a post at Fusible Network that states Marchex is asking $1M for – you can own for a fraction of that!  I have received a low $x,xxx offer and a mid $x,xxx offer – I am looking to sell this domain name before the end of the year so please send me all serious offers to andrew [at]

Thanks in advance for all your considerations and a Happy, Healthy & Successful New Year to you and your loved ones.

Happy Holidays everyone…..I hope Santa and Hanukkah Harry were good to you all!

Before I hit the slopes today (literally) I thought I would share some available domain names I spotted that might be of value to you….so here we go: and - obviously great for surgeons in Boca, Florida and – good for a coffee/bagel shop – couponing sites are good if they are niche (I own about 40 coupon-related domains) – good for a travel company or fishing charter…. – a review/travel site to Club Med – could be a cool/useful directory of mentors…. – sell instructional golf dvds (could also just be an affiliate) – a review of all wine clubs – be the first to review Rick Latona’s

That’s it for now, if you want to review some premium domain names, please be sure to visit

Ready to

I noticed last night on a pending drop list which means the domain will be available shortly for hand registration or you can backorder thru a site like or

As I mentioned in an earlier post on a domain like can be a tourist/travel related website revolving around Brooklyn…

The screen shot below shows ‘exact search volume’ from the Google Keyword Tool and terms like Brooklyn Hotels, Brooklyn Apartments, Brooklyn Jobs, etc. all have tens and tens of thousands of monthly searches:

So…..if you are from Brooklyn or are an entreprenurial New Yorker looking for an online business model, you may want to consider grabbing and develop a well-optimized site for Brooklyn and all of its attractions.  The end result can be a site that makes money via direct ad sales, affiliate marketing, email acquisition and other strategies.  And if you’re also interested in  let me know as well. Bidding at $411…Auction Ends Today

Posted on December 23rd, 2009 by AndrewHazen  |  No Comments »

Today is the last day for the NameJet auction of; the current bid is $411 and the auction ends at 12:38pm PST.

Obviously the hobby vertical is a HUGE market and with 246,000 exact searches a month for hobby and 135,000 for hobbies, this domain has lots of potential ‘depending on how you value the .info’  I feel that .info if properly developed and the content appropriate, can be a killer play.  Here in NY, the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) uses for train/bus/bridge info and schedules….

The CPC traffic is nothing to brag about; however this could be a great domain to setup as an affiliate site either thru MiniSites or WannaDevelop - below is a screen shot of the keyword search volume and approx. average Cost Per Click (CPC)

Please keep in mind this does not include searches for models, model plans/cars/train, remote control planes/cars, dollhouses, etc., etc.

You could also explore direct ad sales, a Hobby Store Directory (online and offline) and even a social platform where all hobbyist come to communicate; ask questions, share ideas and sell their work….

So bottom line – how much do you think this domain is worth?  I think it’s worth what you are willing to put into it!!  A true hobbyst and/or passionate hobby person can make a living off this domain in my humble opinion.  It will be interesting to see how much it sells for….
